Logan Lake Parks & Recreation
Parks
- There are nine parks within the District of Logan Lake including Marie King Memorial Park
(cenotaph) and Maggs Park. These two parks total 32 hectares. The District
of Logan Lake also operates a campground on a 1.5 hectare site at the
eastern end of Logan Lake. This campground has 27 campsites, of which
approximately 20 of them have power.
The official
ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Bill Maggs Memorial Park at Logan Lake was held
Sunday, September 16, 1990. Formerly known as Central Park, it has undergone a
transformation in. the past few years which includes landscaping, new playground
equipment, a gazebo and a. kiosk with brief history of Bill Maggs, Logan Lake
and the Highland Valley Copper.
